Candice is an active supporter of TBDA (Tick-Borne Disease Alliance) whose mission is dedicated to raising awareness, promoting advocacy and supporting initiatives to find a cure for tick-borne diseases, including Lyme.

Candice Accola at Love & Blood ItaCon

This past week Candice attended a Convention in Italy and while there spoke about Caroline and possible love interests. Below is an excerpt thanks to Wetpaint … also watch the videos below.

The stars of The Vampire Diaries headed to Europe this past weekend (May 31-June 2), where they were on hand for the Love & Blood Convention in Perugia, Italy.

While castmates like Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley stayed back in the States, Ian Somerhalder (Damon), Candice Accola (Caroline), Zach Roerig (Matt), Torrey DeVitto (Meredith), and Nathaniel Buzolic (Kol) all hopped across the pond for some fan Q&A.

Fresh off her engagement to Fray guitarist Joe King, Candice Accola took the stage looking as radiant as ever! Though the 26-year-old actress has found true love in her real life, it seems she thinks her character needs to play the field.

“Honestly, I think Caroline should be single,” she explained to the crowd. Not surprisingly, that answer didn’t go over so well!

“Fine. Then I guess we won’t have any hot new young guys come on the show for you guys. We’ll just keep the ones we have,” she joked.

Unfortunately, Candice seems pretty certain that Klaus and Caroline’s relationship won’t make it to the next level. “I read a lot of fan-fiction thrusts of Caroline and Klaus, but there will only be the fan-fiction… even if she loves him.”

Aww, Candice! You’re breaking our Klaroline-loving hearts!
